Project Ultrasound

Care Net Pregnancy Resource Center of Atlanta is a non-profit organization whose mission is to help women and men deal positively with an unexpected pregnancy by providing emotional, spiritual and practical support. We provide free pregnancy testing and social service referrals. We hope to provide medical services this year thru ultrasound.
Main goal for the grant: Promote pro-life initiatives to save babies lives
Description of project plan:
The greatest need for abortion-risk women within the Metro Atlanta is truthful and objective information coupled with a picture of not just a baby, but their baby in real time showing fingers, toes, and a beating heart. Offering medical services, such as limited obstetrical ultrasound, is effective in empowering abortion-risk women to choose life.
Ultrasound opens a “window to the womb” to a mother in a crisis pregnancy situation. The ultrasound will be used to specifically confirm the presence of an intrauterine pregnancy, to estimate gestational age and to confirm cardiac activity.
Operating as a medical clinic allows CPRCA to combine loving care with quality professional services and build trusting relationships resulting to more decisions for life from women who might otherwise choose abortion. We need to hire and train staff as we go medical this year.

The grant will help achieve the following project results:

1. an increase in the total number of clients seen on an annual basis;

2. an increase in the number of clients seen that are contemplating abortion; and

3. a dramatic increase in the percentage of clients choosing life.
